FACES OF WOMEN WHO DIED FROM UNSAFE ABORTION
To raise awareness of the importance of access to safe abortion, the illustrations are based on faces of women who tragically have lost their lives as they were deprived on safe abortion care:
1. Savita Halappanavar from Ireland
2. Izabela from Poland
3. Manuela from El Salvador
4. Olga Reyes from Nicaragua
Famous female activists: Rose, Milla, Nicki and Busy are faces of women who did get an abortion with safe healthcare.
Hey Jane has an online toolkit which members can download freely and is welcomed to use on different social platforms to grab attention and aim at a wider target audience. The idea explores the concept of “HALO EFFECT” as part of the requirements from the brief.
The idea is based on the letter A and its symbolism in society. The power of the alphabet A and its symbolism in different contexts are used to guide the audience towards A standing for Abortion and A with a plus sign = Healthcare which is safe and trustworthy.
